Here at Fratantoni Design, our custom luxury home architects design homes nationwide, with no two houses being the same! From coast to coast, we have seen multiple different architectural design styles of custom luxury homes. As luxury home architects, we design custom homes to exceed our client’s dream home goals. While we have been seeing a transition to more modern homes, other styles have NOT gone out of style! Here are some of our favorite styles of homes:
Mediterranean Style:
Mediterranean-style homes have very specific key features, starting with an open floor plan with an emphasis on indoor-outdoor living. Often, the shape of the home is a U-Shape that is centered around a courtyard and fountain. Other style characteristics include light-colored stucco, warm stone, and intricate tilework with stunning colors.
French Country:
One architectural home design style that we often see is the French Country style. The home has exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, brick interior and exterior, and arched entryways. On the exterior of the home, stone carvings and surrounds create a stunning architectural design.
Modern/ Contemporary:
Opposite architectural design styles as a French Country estate, modern/contemporary homes have more clean lines and intentional asymmetry. The interior of the home has a monochromatic color palette and floor-to-ceiling windows with natural light. Oftentimes the floor plan of the estate is open and allows for traffic in the home to flow free.
