Staircase Style Inspiration

At Fratantoni Design our luxury home architects design a number of custom homes every year across the nation. From coast to coast, styles of homes range which means we really have seen it all! One aspect of the home that might be one of the most important parts is the entryway. The entryway of a home is the first room that catches your eye and sets the style tone for the rest of your home.

While their are dozens of ways to make your entryway/foyer stand out, specifically, homes with staircases have mutliple different options to choose from when designing their front entry. Many people choose between making their staircase the focal point, or blending it in with the rest of the home out of sight of the foyer. Whether choosing a grand double staircase, curved staircase, straight staircase, or any other style, your options are endless. Here are some recent projects to give you staircase style inspiration!

Grand Double Staircase:

As custom home architects, often we are shown photos of homes with grand double staircases that families want incorporated into their home. These staircases are often popular in homes because of their “wow” factor. Grand staircases can be made with multiple different materials, such as marble, wood, or even concrete. Above the grand staircase many families have gorgeous chandeliers such as the one pictured below.

Curved Staircase:

Another extremely common staircase design we see is the curved staircase. This staircase while it may not always be at the front entryway, is its own focal point! Curved staircases are made with gorgeous craftsmanship and like the grand staircase, can be made with many different materials.
