Last week we shared the third step in designing a custom luxury home, this week we are sharing step four of designing a custom luxury home! This step in the design process helps further bring to life what was once just a thought or concept – it is now a physical, tactile design. A design one can visually experience. Oftentimes, for architects it is all about the experience. From the time a user enters into, interacts with, and exits a space. Each of these finalizing features aids in enhancing the overall experience. Each step in the design process is thoughtfully worked through. Thus beginning with a simple idea or thought, creating possible solutions for clients, and evaluating how each facet of the design can not only work with but also compliment the entire design and deliver a cohesive feel. 

These final steps are what truly bring the project to life. Making spaces functional for the client based on their needs and providing visually appealing elements that realistically show our clients their future dream home. All while providing a natural experience is what this step is all about.

Light Fixtures

Planning light fixtures is one of the most important steps! Visual appeal through lighting greatly contributes to a positive experience for our clients. The lighting fixtures used will help to define the interior and exterior look of the home. Lighting affects us more than we know and is used to enhance or soften the way a room feels. It “wakes up” and brings to life the design, if you will. All selected types and locations are intentional when it comes to our designs for clients.

Landscape Design

Furthermore, incorporating natural elements through landscape design can completely transform the look and feel of your space. Landscape design gives a sense of “place” when you implement nature in a usable space for clients and is often quite soothing as well. Choosing to implement a water feature and greenery, inside or outside, can greatly reduce stress and provide a backdrop for maximum relaxation in your home.
